Churches on the North side of Sunderland

Holy Trinity Southwick

Holy Trinity Southwick

The Holy Trinity Church in Southwick sits on a hillside and cannot be missed as you come out of the Alexandra Bridge on the North side. Its name is shared with Sunderland Parish Church in the East End of our City. It was designed by George L Jackson (1802 - 1845) and built in 1842 and 1843. The design is in the style of Early English Gothic. It has a box type nave with a tower at the West end.
